We have a drive to innovate because we know that yesterday's great idea is today's status quo and tomorrow's paradigm.  PEC employees are encouraged to apply proven management techniques in ways that raise the bar on excellence.  We are routinely asked to lead project performance improvement efforts that focus on overall project management or on specific technical issues.  Our progressive thinking has earned us dozens of satisfied clients across the country.  Our reputation is so strong in this area that, since 1999, the Department of Energy has chosen PEC to lead its efforts on the National Facility Deactivation Initiative (NFDI).  The DOE uses this initiative to promote innovations in the areas of facility deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) and project management.  In December 2000, PEC was awarded a Vice Presidential Hammer Award for our service to NFDI.
