Quality Assurance

PEC provides quality assurance (QA) program solutions to large and small corporate and federal organizations including the Office of Quality Assurance Policy and Assistance (OQA) in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). PEC personnel have amassed experience in such areas as development and management of QA programs, root cause analysis, assessment and auditing (with a number of certified auditors), and other areas which supplement and complement PEC’s core corporate capabilities. PEC has demonstrated its unique capability to assemble teams with the exact skill mix to support the continually evolving needs of its clients.

In recent years, PEC has been responsible for supporting the DOE’s Office of Health Safety and Security (HSS), Office of Environmental Management (EM), Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (OCRWM), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Elimination of Weapons-Grade Plutonium Program (EWGPP), and the Office of Fossil Energy (FE) in their discharge of QA related functions and responsibilities. Support activities include developing, training, and implementing QA program plans; updating policy and directives; and providing assistance to other departmental and field or contractor elements in the implementation of the DOE’s QA requirements.

PEC personnel and associates bring extensive experience from the commercial nuclear industry, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and DOE's operations. Through its highly dedicated staff and its network of nationally known subject matter experts, PEC provides services in:
