Located in Germantown, Maryland, Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC) is a technical services business focused on providing Project Management and specialized consulting and training services in the areas of nuclear safety, worker safety and health, security, quality assurance, and environment, as well as materials and facilities disposition within the Department of Energy (DOE) and commercial power industry.

Employment Position: Training Assistant - Full Time

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records for historical reference by establishing and organizing printed and electronic records.
  • Ensure security and integrity of information by maintaining and updating information in a learning management database.
  • Administer the learning management database through updates of personnel, events, duties, titles, organizations and creation of new training events in the system.
  • Provide training/project/departmental records for historical reference by establishing, organizing, and maintaining printed and electronic records and files.
  • Respond to general or routine requests, inquiries, etc., according to established policies and procedures; referring complex requests, inquiries, needs and concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify tasks/assignments to be completed; planning and ranking tasks/assignments in order of important/priority; developing and following a schedule; managing time effectively.
  • May be tasked to provide instructional support as needed by the customer to include instructor duties.
  • Remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ensure completion of projects/assignments by tracking status of courses, projects and assignments; following-up and alerting personnel of due dates.
  • May involve standing, walking and kneeling for brief periods.
  • May involve minimal or infrequent lifting or carrying.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years administrative experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to complete DOE Basic Instructor and Controller courses.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in client environment.
  • Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for a DOE security clearance and Building Access badge.
  • Access will require the qualified candidate be a U.S. citizen with DOE Q clearance. The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of maintaining a security clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
  • A pre-employment test for the absence of any illegal substances will be required. Ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of illegal substances may also be conducted for continued access to client sites. The candidate’s written consent to conduct such tests will be required as a condition of employment.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DOE sites and types of operation
  • Self-directed, and able to define and achieve goals with little supervision
