Steve Madaras
Director of Knowledge Management
Steve serves as Director of Information Technology and Knowledge Management for
PEC, where he oversees the IT operations and infrastructure that supports all facets
of PEC’s business. He serves as the technical advisor on PEC projects requiring IT
services and evaluates new technologies for use in corporate and client projects.
With its enhanced infrastructure, PEC is able to offer a variety of IT solutions to
assist our clients with their environmental management, safety and health needs.
PEC’s IT services include web application development and hosting, information
portal development and hosting, computer-based training development, and online
document search systems.
Steve holds a Bachelor and Master Degree in Nuclear/Mechanical Engineering from
Penn State and an MBA from Johns Hopkins. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate IT management
in the federal contracting and commercial web development arena. Prior to his tenure at PEC, Steve was the
Vice President of Information Technology of GTI Federal, a federal IT contractor. For GTI, Steve developed and
managed the corporate IT infrastructure while overseeing the GTI’s contracts with the Department of Energy.
Prior to GTI, he served as the Vice President and CTO of Millennium Integrated Systems, a commercial web
application company. Steve holds a U.S. Patent as the chief architect of a digital multimedia search and
retrieval system.
